OBSERVATION in St. Augustine Catholic School (St.ACTS)

The flag ceremony was also an introduction to the students that we would carry out observations and teaching demonstrations at Saint Augustine Catholic School. On this occasion, I will give a short speech to greet all students and hope that we will be well received here. Responding to this, all the students were very enthusiastic and accepted and welcomed us very well.

Grade 7

Grade 8

Grade 9

Grade 9 St. Clare

  Grade 10                                       Grade 11

Observations were carried out on 24-25 August and 31 August-1 September. An extraordinary experience when observing at several grades. Take a look from the diversity of characteristics and teaching patterns of teachers in delivering learning material gave me a lot of good learning and experience.
In St. Augustine Catholic School, each level of students is divided according to the classification of understanding in mastering the material. The division consists of Sets A, B and C. This division is adjusted to the results of the assessment analysis given to students to measure their level of understanding, so that they can participate in learning according to the students' own level of capacity.
Based on my experience making observations in various sets. I found several slightly striking differences in characteristics regarding student activation and responsiveness during learning.
I followed 2 cooperative teachers. From these two teachers I learned a lot about how to handle students in class. Through the differences between each set at grade level, it also requires several strategies and teaching patterns that are appropriate for each student.
